Rebornherooftime asked: “Alan Wake! Have you ever played it? I’m sure as a gamer owning a Xbox you must have come across it! It is an amazing game story wise because of how in-depth it is and how it the story makes you re-think about things you thought were correct. Plus it has a pretty bad ass OST what with the developers getting a band to make songs relating to the plot. But like I said, have you ever played it? If so what did you think of it.”
So, if you do read the Alana (I’ll just use your name for the sake of less typing) if you do read it I’m going to make a video response tomorrow afternoon when I get home from university about some things I picked up on in your “mini-review” in which I disagreed.
Now here me out here
I DESPISE dislike xbox.
And it’s not because I’m some sort of fan boy, oh no on the contrary, I am a lover of all consoles to the point where I give each and every console their equal pros and cons.
What does that have to do with anything? It means I hardly play any Xbox games which means that my response is going to be purely based on “Alan Wake”
(But I lost a huge amount of respect for Microsoft once Rare moved over, Rare had something really amazing going over with Nintendo and Microsoft basically bribed Rare to start exclusively making Main Titles such as Banjo-Kazooie for Microsoft themselves)
So Alana, if you are reading this expect a response because I do have some thoughts on your opinions of Alan Wake.
I will say this now, I agree with the Gameplay mechanics/battle techniques. They sucked a little.
But it’s like I always say and I quote myself
”I would rather play a game with poor and/or simple gameplay mechanics but have an amazing story line one which really pulls emotion or draws thoughts upon the player rather than one with quite great/stunning gameplay mechanics but a poor story”
